# MiniMax API Key

> Configure your own MiniMax API key in MiniMax Code.

If you want to use your own MiniMax API key, configure it in model settings. After saving, MiniMax Code can use the corresponding model capability.

## Setup

**1. Open settings**

Go to usage and model settings.

**2. Choose MiniMax API**

Enter your API key and save it.

**3. Test the connection**

Run a connection test to confirm the key works.
